Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RENTO website and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using RENTO, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About RENTO

RENTO provides car and van rental services in Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines. Our vehicles can be rented for travel to destinations across Luzon. We operate as a rental and travel services provider and may work with partner drivers or operators to fulfill bookings.

2. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under Philippine law.

3. Bookings and Reservations

When you submit a booking request, you agree that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee availability. Your booking is only confirmed when you receive a written or electronic confirmation from RENTO (e.g., email, SMS, or messaging app).

RENTO reserves the right to accept or decline booking requests at our sole discretion.

4. Rental Requirements

Depending on the type of service (self-drive or with driver), you may be required to provide identification, a valid driver's license, or other documents. Specific requirements, deposits, and conditions will be communicated before confirmation.

5. Self-Drive Car Rental Terms

• ✅ A valid reservation or booking confirmation must be presented upon vehicle release.
• ✅ Rates include standard vehicle insurance coverage, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), and applicable Philippine taxes.
• ✅ Vehicles must only be operated by the registered renter or authorized drivers with a valid Philippine or international driver’s license.
• ✅ Vehicles are prohibited from inter-island transport, off-road use, flooded roads, racing, or extreme/illegal activities.
• ✅ Fuel, toll, parking, and other incidental expenses are at the renter’s expense.
• ✅ Vehicles are released with a full tank and must be returned full to avoid refueling charges.
• ✅ Early return of the vehicle prior to the agreed rental period may incur penalties or forfeiture of unused rental days.
• ✅ Full prepayment plus a refundable security deposit (PHP 10,000 or 40% of total rental cost, whichever is higher) may be required.
• ✅ Payment must be made using accepted methods under the renter’s name.
• ✅ Cancellations must be advised at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

6. Car Rental With Driver (Chauffeur) Terms

• ✅ Chauffeur-driven rentals include a professional, licensed driver provided by RENTO.
• ✅ Rental rates cover vehicle usage and driver service only unless otherwise stated.
• ✅ Fuel, toll, parking, driver meals, accommodation (if applicable), and other incidental expenses are the renter’s responsibility.
• ✅ Trip routes, destinations, and schedules must be agreed upon in advance to ensure safety and compliance.
• ✅ Overtime fees apply beyond agreed service hours.
• ✅ Vehicles may not be used for illegal activities or unsafe conditions.
• ✅ Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time to avoid charges.

7. Prices, Fees, and Payments

Rates, surcharges, and fees will be communicated during the booking process. Prices are per day for vehicle rental only. Fuel, tolls, parking, or other expenses incurred by the renter are their responsibility. Confirmed bookings will not be affected unless modified.

When online payment is used, you agree to comply with the terms of our payment processor. RENTO does not store your full payment card details and is not responsible for third-party processor issues.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies are communicated during the booking process and confirmed in your booking confirmation message or receipt.

• ✅Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled rental start time may be eligible for a full or partial refund, subject to payment processor or bank charges.
• ✅Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled rental start time may be subject to cancellation fees or forfeiture of payments made.
• ✅Failure to arrive at the agreed pickup location or time without prior notice may be treated as a no-show and may result in forfeiture of the rental fee.
• ✅Refunds, when applicable, will be processed using the original payment method and may take several business days depending on the bank or payment provider.
• ✅Booking modifications (such as changes in dates, vehicle type, or destination) are subject to availability and may result in price adjustments.
• ✅RENTO reserves the right to cancel a booking due to vehicle unavailability, safety concerns, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to offer an alternative vehicle or refund applicable prepayments.

Please note that bank charges, payment gateway fees, or currency conversion fees imposed by third-party providers are non-refundable.

9. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete information when booking.
• Arrive on time at the agreed pickup location.
• Treat the vehicle and driver (if provided) with care and respect.
• Comply with all traffic, safety, and local laws.

10. Prohibited Uses

Vehicles may not be used for illegal activities, reckless driving, racing, or any purpose that violates law or endangers others. RENTO reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a booking if misuse is suspected.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, RENTO and its partners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including loss of profits, delays, or inconvenience. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific booking.

12. Third-Party Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., payment gateways, maps, messaging apps). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or actions.

13. Changes to Terms

RENTO may update these Terms by posting a revised version on the website. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by Philippine law. Any disputes should be resolved amicably or submitted to courts of Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines.
